Street Photography – Cardiff Streets 8

Some more film images taken with my Olympus OM-1 on Fomapan Classic 100 monochrome film around Cardiff.

Crossing 50mm Fomapan Classic 100 f8 250th sec 50mm, f8, 1/250th sec. What I like most about this is the giant rugby ball in the background bursting out of the castle wall, it was put there for the Rugby World Cup and as you can tell from the people in this photograph, after a while it just become very much the norm despite it looking so odd firstly.

Library Square 50mm Fomapan Classic 100 f16 125th sec 50mm, f16, 1/125th sec. Two pairs of people, the giant sculpture framing them, the centre of it separating them, and the whole thing giving a grand perspective of how small humans really are compared to their creations.

Cameraman 50mm Fomapan Classic 100 f16 125th sec 50mm, f16, 1/125th sec. This guy again (he’s featured in a previous post in this series). On this occasion I like how not only is the surrounding out of focus but also totally overexposed compared to him, making him stand out and maybe also making it look like he’s lost in whatever’s coming through his headphones and blocking out the world around him?
