A new, and relatively short, series of posts to go alongside the usual street photography one’s that are picking up pace now. These are going to feature solely photo’s taken of fan’s during the build up to the France v Ireland Rugby World Cup match that was held in Cardiff that I took my camera down to mingle amongst the crowd in.
All are taken on Fomapan Classic 100 using my Olympus OM-1 and 50mm lens. Please feel free to comment as I was particularly happy with how some of these came out and there were of “character’s” to photograph.
F8, 1/125th sec. Main things that stand out for me in this among the crowd are as follows: The guy dead centre in the horned hat surrounded by people looking at him and away from us; The small boy rising above the crowd behind him; The flags frozen in motion; The guy with the crazy sunglasses staring right at us; And weirdly the traffic light glowing in the distance.
F8, 1/125th sec. Who say’s stereotypes don’t reflect real life? This I assume is either the President or Ireland or the winner of “Mr Dapper Eire 2015”.
F8, 1/125th sec. Three Frenchman minding their own business surrounded by people dressed nowhere near as fancily as them. And then a man with a walking stick looking right at us.
F8, 1/125th sec. That giant ball sticks out like a wonderfully blatant sore thumb in the castle wall, I love it. I also love how the horses are dressed like their riders, man and beast blending into one.
F8, 1/125th sec. Who stands out here? I think what caught me about this is that the Islamic lady with the pushchair is clearly the most normally dressed of everyone in the image, yet she’s the one being stared at.
