Chester Zoo On Film: Part 3

Part 3 of Chester Zoo On Film and this time, giraffe’s. Many giraffe’s. As usual all taken on Agfa Vista Plus 200 with my canon AE-1 Programme and 50mm lens.

Chester Zoo 10 Agfa Vista Plus 200.jpg Juvenile Giraffe wandering out into the open while his elders crowd around the doorway. I took this photo, or at least variant’s of it, a few times and it looks much better on film than digital in my opinion.

Chester Zoo 12 Agfa Vista Plus 200.jpg A close up of a few of the giraffe’s, the camera was left on auto aperture mode but from how dark it was in there and the bokeh you can probably guess it was at f1.4, hence the lovely blurring of focus.

Chester Zoo 13 Agfa Vista Plus 200.jpg Same image here but with the light from the background more prominent and making the features of the giraffe’s face, and whisker’s, stand out in the light.

Chester Zoo 14 Agfa Vista Plus 200.jpg And we’ll finish off with this sleepy character, again an image I have a few variant’s of that, again, I think look’s better on film than digital. You can judge for yourself here mind you.
