Street Photography – Olympus OM-D EM-5; 36

Welcome back to another selection of street photography images taken on my Olympus OM-D EM-5 with Panasonic Leica Summilux 25mm lens.

Bolt Of Light.jpg ISO 400, f4, 1/3200th sec. I’ve been waiting for the right light to take a good shot of this lightning bolt monument for some time, this day the light seemed to fit, splitting the image in two as if the lightning had hit the ground and split it itself.

Cattle Grid.jpg ISO 400, f1.4, 1/4000th sec. I liked the look of this building as it looked like it was encased in a huge cage and I liked the symmetry of the windows and pattern. The guy stood below it with a tripod casting a strong shadow was a bonus.

Cellist.jpg ISO 400, f4, 1/125th sec. Anyone who has seen my street photography before is aware of my penchant for photographing buskers, they’re always so interesting. This guy was a little different than the usual guy with a guitar, you can probably tell from the guy taking a double look at him as he walk’s past.

Central Square.jpg ISO 200, f4, 1/800th sec. This happens to be the building site where the new building the company I work for is moving to in the future. I liked the bold dark and light colours on the wood put up to keep people out and the distant couple out of focus and holding hands walking away I think fits quite well with the line of the barrier leading away towards them.
