Another instalment of street photography taken with my Olympus OM-D EM-5, all taken in and around Cardiff and from the month of May (so not too long ago, we are catching up to my more recent portfolio). Enjoy
ISO 200, f8, 1/1250th sec. A bridge that crosses the River Taff in the middle of Bute Park in Cardiff. It was a beautiful sunny day and I liked the angles and shapes of the bridge rising up into the sky. IOS 200, f8, 1/250th sec. One of those images I like to take because it show’s how insignificant and small we are not only compared to the world around us but even our own creations. This guy is completely dwarfed by the castle wall as he walks past. ISO 200, f8, 1/800th sec. This builders yard was open until about a week before I took this, what a difference a few day’s makes. Not long before it had been busy with trucks and machinery, now it’s empty, devoid of life and has huge concrete barriers in front of the gates.
ISO 400, f4, 1/800th sec. Just a guy having a coffee break.
ISO 400, f8, 1/1000th sec. One thing I do miss since I’ve moved house is this park, there was constantly people playing cricket there in the recent month’s when the weather was good and it made for some great opportunities to take images like this. I like the contrast of shadow between the foreground people and the team playing in the distance.
