It’s going to take me days of work to go through and pick out the images I like best of the six hundred odd I took in Italia over the last week or so. However I wanted to get this one onto my blog and out as soon as I could as it’s of the nicest sunset I’ve ever witnessed. Apologies for the quality, I think it’s a little noisy and as I would normally take landscape images with my DSLR I would have a set of ND Grad’s and a tripod to use, however I was on holiday so had my smaller lighter Mirrorless Olympus instead of my bulky Nikon.
Olympus OMD-EM5, M.Zuiko 17mm 1:1.8, ISO 800, f4, 1/200th sec.
This is a view of Firenze/Florence taken at sunset from Piazzele Michelangelo on one of the hills on the other side of the River Arno to the main centre of the city. You can see practically all the major sites, the Ponte Vecchio over the river, the tower of the Palazzo Vecchio and Ufizi, and the Duomo. Its a view lie this that has made it my favourite city I’ve ever visited.
