Street Photography – Olympus OM-D EM-5; 64

Another edition of my street photography series for your perusal, as usual all taken on my Olympus OMD EM-5.

P1010099.jpg 17mm, ISO 400, f4, 1/2000th sec. So the first three in this edition are all about shadows and shapes, repetitive shadows and shapes in this one of the staircase leading down to my girlfriends parents house. Zigzagging shadows from the angle of the light hitting the brickwork.

Railings.jpg 25mm, ISO 400, f4, 1/1600th sec. shadows cast by the railings here giving an angular mirrored effect as it reflects onto the concrete, the shadows almost look alive in the background as they climb up the wall.

Stairway.jpg 25mm, ISO 400, f4, 1/20th sec. Bright lighting shining through the over head trees on to this stairway that leads down to the station platform,.

The Artist.jpg 50mm OM, ISO 400, f?, 1/160th sec. This woman was sat sketching and painting away in the city centre, old fashioned street photography with paint and brush perhaps? I like the reflective surface of the bench she’s sat on.

Train.jpg 25mm, ISO 400, f4, 1/640th sec. There’s something about railways that I really like, not the trains or the transport itself but more the straight man made lines cutting through nature, it helps give a sense of distance and perspective.
