Welcome to edition 73 of my street photography series, as always all images are taken with my Olympus OM-D EM-5 and either 25mm Panasonic Leica Summilux or 17mm M.Zuiko lenses. Let me know your thoughts.
25mm, ISO 800, f2.8, 1/60th sec. I can assure you this is not a Welsh delicacy, I have no idea why anyone would want to eat penguin poop or name their product after penguin poop. The rest of the inside of this shop has much more appetising looking produce, one of my favourite stores in Cardiff. 17mm, ISO 1000, f1.8, 1/40th sec. A walk down to the bay for dinner, the contrast between the bright lights outside the restaurants and the almost pitch black of the walkways, and the sea beyond, was pretty obvious. I couldn’t resist taking this shot while my girlfriend walked on without me. 17mm, ISO 1000, f1.8, 1/60th sec. Another image that shows much better the difference between the lighted areas of Cardiff Bay and the darkness just a few footsteps beyond. The advertising sign here is so bright in comparison to the surrounding darkness that it drowns itself out, and I like the leading lines through the centre and off into the distance until the light disappears.
