Welcome to edition 74 of my street photography series taken with my Olympus OM-D EM-5 with either 17mm M.Zuiko 1:1.8 or 25mm Panasonic Leica Summilux 1:1.4 lenses.
25mm, ISO 800, f1.4, 1/100th sec. I love the lighting on this one, this arcade looks amazing in the evening with the glow of the lighting and the repetitive nature of the tables reflecting that light. The shadow cast across the floor is from a Christmas ornament hanging above, I really like the shape it casts. I’m very pleased how this image came out.
17mm, ISO 400, f1.8, 1/320th sec. From the top of the London Eye, high above the city. I am more than pleased with myself here, I think this is one of the better images I’ve taken, the positioning of the foreground with the pod filled with people on the left, the rive flowing through the centre, the misty weather showing up in the greyscale, the vast city disappearing into the distance. Yes I am very pleased with this.
25mm, ISO 400, f4, 1/320th sec. This was sort of a test shot, the first image I’d taken after my job moved offices (it’s directly behind me as I shot this), making sure the slightly finicky EM-5 was actually going to fire the shutter when I wanted it to later on. I think this has come out OK in the circumstances considering, repetition again with the bollards, fencing and patterns on the pavement, all of them leading up to the woman with the shopping bag in the distance.
