Penarth At High Tide

DSC_00052.jpg Nikon D5200, Sigma 10-20mm EX DC, ISO 160, f8, 20 secs.

The last couple of times I’ve been down to shoot this location the tide happens to have been very high at exactly the same moment as sundown. Normally I’d say great, but this beach faces east and has cliffs behind so actually you don’t see any sunset, just the colours it turns the sky (if the clouds and sky are just right), and what I was actually trying to photograph is the waves over the pebble beach. As you can see here, that pebble beach is several feet under the water, damn. This is why I shot this instead, wasn’t the shot I was aiming for but it turned out nicely.
