  1. By using a 25mm lens you must have been poking your camera right into some peoples faces. That is why some look so uncomfortable. Although I have been practicing street photograpy for nearly 60 years, I am proud to say that I have not done that once. I find that behaviour arrogant and rude and spoils it for the genuine street photographer.


    1. Perhaps it may seem that way, however a 25mm lens on a micro four thirds camera such as the Olympus OM-D EM-5 I use is actually the equivalent of a 50mm lens on a normal full frame or 35mm film camera. I can assure you at no point was I poking my camera right into people’s faces as I am quite concerned myself about being rude and terrified of people’s possible reactions to such behaviour. In the vast majority of these images I am stood metres upon metres away from the subjects or they are simply walking towards me as I’ve fired the shutter. Thank You for your comments though.
